Shall Never Perish
"Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness IF thou CONTINUE IN His goodness: otherwise thou ALSO shalt BE CUT OFF." Rom. 11:22. "For we are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning Or our coniidence steadiast UNTO the END." Heb. 3:14. "For IF ye do these things, ye shall never FALL." 2 Pet. 1:10. "Ye are FALLEN FROM GRACE." Gal. 5:4. Yet in spite of such positive statements, some tell us a soul cannot fall from grace! Shall we believe men, or aod! We believe GOD!
Shall never perish-IF we trust in Jesus. And "walk with Him" the strait and narrow way: His "sheep," the Shepherd's guiding voice still hearing, And "following" His leading day by day.
Shall never perish-IF we do His bidding, His counsel and His warnings ever heed, With "ears to hear" His call at any moment And in His pastures daily live and feed.
Shall never perish-IF we will "continue" "Abiding" in His love and fellowship; And ever "do these things" His word commanded:- Ah ! surely then our "feet shall never slip ! "
Shall never perish-If in faith triumphant, We "hold that fast" His grace hath freely given, Firm "to the end," thru all life's weary journey; Then shall we rest "secure" at last in Heaven.
"Shall never perish"-blessed words of Jesus, To all who "follow Him" in faith and love; But those, alas, who "fall away" apostate, Can never gain that blissful home above!
"Will Ye Also Go Away?"
Will ye also go away? Christ the Lord is asking; Now in this-time's latest day, "Many" are departing.
Sin and pleasures loudly call, "Many" are responding, From His love and grace they "fall" To the world's alluring.
Demas leaves the narrow path, Takes the way unholy; Braves the Savior's judgment wrath. Grieves the Meek and Lowly.
"Many" break their marrlage vows, To the Christ who saved them; Pleasures seek, He won't allow, So they turn and "leave Him."
