Plums
 

Palette: neutral gray, baby blue, chartreuse, hair brown, cool green, ruby purple, copen blue, dark green, black grape, black, light grey (tint)

Procedure:

1st Fire: Stems- neutral grey lightly

Leaves - baby blue, chartreuse, cool green, dark green. Keep Light.

Copen blue as indicated, and pull the colors together with black grape, wipe out highlights.

2nd Fire: Stems - hair brown and black mixed in brush.

Do not permit the shading to become too warm. Wipe back texzture to first firing.

Plums - model with black grape. Wipe back direct and reflected light to first firing. Introduce texturing.

3rd Fire: Stems - strenghten as needed.

Leaves - wash some highlights with yellow brown. Strenghten value and texute as needed, using same colors as 2nd firing.

Plums - strengthen value, using black grape. Wipe back ghighlights, and re-establish texture.

4th Fire: Background - introduce atmospheric work using black grape and copen blue.

Stems - strenghten if necessary.

Leaves - strenghten if necessary.

Plums - strenghten value, using black grape, and for darkest value, add black. Add washes of ruby purple and / or copen blue to re0establish color if necessary.
